I've worked with Custom Packaging Lane a few times this year on packaging for our soaps. They always deliver great looking boxes within our tight deadlines. Frank is super communicative and a pleasure to work with.

Very happy with Custom Packaging Lane. Sam and Sarah were great to work with. The quality of the printing and speedy delivery was very much appreciated. I use them for 2 of our custom printed boxes and will be using them for more projects moving forward. Sam was wonderful and even caught a typo that I missed. Thank you.

Rim diameter and cup series determine lid fit, not the ounce label alone. Two cups with the same nominal capacity can use different top diameters, rim curls, or wall tapers. Match the lid specification to the approved cup drawing, then test the lid on filled cups for seating, removal force, sip opening position, venting, and leaks during normal carrying.
Use coffee cups with lids, cardboard coffee cups, and disposable coffee cups as specification references, not proof that components interchange. Each selected cup still needs its own rim, lid, forming, and nesting checks.
Approve the assembled appearance only after checking the seam, logo orientation, small type, color conversion, lid fit, and nesting behavior. A press check looks at registration, ink density, fine reversals, and whether the design remains centered as the cup wall wraps. The digital proof should show the correct size and artwork version before anything prints.
Nesting depth determines how many cups fit in a sleeve, while sleeve count and carton dimensions drive storage and pallet planning. Confirm those packing records after the formed cup is approved. Low-resolution images, text placed into the seam, and untested lid substitutions are common avoidable failures. Ask us about food-contact options for the selected construction. Browse related food packaging. A physical reference can also be requested through the sample kit page.
A practical cafe set commonly uses 4, 8, 12, 16, and 20 fluid-ounce cups, with the quantity split based on the menu rather than divided evenly. The table shows common service roles, not a required menu. Check each size against drink recipes, fill level, cup holder clearance, storage space, and the exact lid series before purchasing bulk coffee cups.
| Nominal capacity | Common menu role | Planning check |
|---|---|---|
| 4 oz | Espresso or samples | Short-cup handling |
| 8 oz | Small hot drink | Recipe fill line |
| 12 oz | Regular hot drink | Primary service size |
| 16 oz | Large hot drink | Cup holder clearance |
| 20 oz | Extra-large drink | Storage and lid series |
Use sales by drink size to build the quantity mix, then keep cup, lid, and sleeve stock counts separate. A case count does not reveal how quickly one size will run out. Record the nominal capacity and rim specification on purchase documents so a later reorder matches the same service system.
A tapered sidewall needs a curved print template, so a rectangular logo dropped onto the file can look tilted or stretched after forming. On the dieline, check how the cup wall meets the top rim, bottom edge, and side seam. Keep type and barcodes away from the seam, and inspect the assembled view rather than approving only the flat file.
Use vector logos and 300 dpi raster images at final size. For color that reaches a cut edge, common prepress practice extends artwork 0.125 in, or 3 mm, beyond the cut line. RGB artwork can change when converted for press. Flexographic printing, which transfers ink from a raised flexible plate, is common for production cupstock; digital printing can be practical for shorter or versioned runs. Quantity, ink coverage, color count, and setup determine the crossover.
