The format should follow the chain length, pendant depth, insert, and opening direction rather than the outside appearance alone.
For construction references, compare custom jewelry rigid boxes with custom pendant boxes. A rigid lid and base need enough opening clearance to avoid drag. A slide tray needs a pull direction that does not release the chain. A folding carton needs glue tabs and scores outside the insert cavity. A score is the pressed line that guides a paperboard fold.
Two upper chain slots, a shaped pendant recess, and a separate clasp position control movement better than a flat pad with no anchors. An insert is the fitted interior component that holds the jewelry inside the outer box.
