Slotted pads hold ring shanks upright, while pierced cards separate earring posts and tabbed cards control necklace chains. The structural template should follow the mounted jewelry rather than the loose piece. For rings, check the tallest stone and widest setting. For earrings, leave post and backing clearance. For necklaces, place upper tabs and a lower restraint so the pendant stays centered when the box is lifted.

Two-piece rigid boxes suit a full top reveal, drawer boxes create a controlled slide, and magnetic flap boxes keep the lid attached at the counter. A straight tuck end made from 16 or 18 pt C1S paperboard stores flat and suits lightweight earring or pendant cards. Natural kraft stock leaves its brown fiber color visible, which can change the appearance of pale inks and fine linework.

A 32 ECT single-wall corrugated case is a common distribution reference, not an automatic answer for every assortment. Packed weight, case span, humidity, stacking pattern, and pallet overhang all affect performance. Put item codes on readable case panels and keep cases inside the pallet footprint so warehouse staff can identify a ring, earring, or necklace format without breaking the stack.
Digital printing suits short runs with several artwork versions, while offset printing can become economical when one design repeats at greater quantity. There is no universal crossover because coverage, version count, stock, and finishing setup change the comparison. Matte lamination reduces glare, gloss lamination increases reflection, foil stamping creates a metallic accent, and spot UV adds localized shine.
At the press check, compare solid ink density, small reversed type, foil or spot UV registration, and panel-to-panel alignment on the erected box. Keep fine copy away from scores and wrap edges, and inspect dark surfaces for visible rubbing.
